It throws a ABS/TCS code about once a week, the local Chevy dealership found a loose connector and tightened it, but the codes have come back. If I turn the car off and start it again the code clears everytime.
Every once in a while, the transmission doesn't want to go into 1st - I have to start in second or roll the car a few inches to get it to mesh.
I took it from Central Florida to Atlanta and back last weekend, it did sound a little rough at low speed after being on the highway for 7 hours. Perhaps I need a new clutch and make sure there aren't any valve problems?
Still, I got the car for under 29 grand, and I love it despite the minor problems.
I've only had the dreaded sticky clutch syndrome (now fixed, thanks to Ranger's great advice) and one other message about charge system fault which hasn't yet come to fruition.
Only issue: Passenger side gas tank not feeding to driver's side, ran out of gas at 3/8 tank - TSB on new C6 fuel system in 2004 C5's. Fixed under warranty.
Extremely reliable car!
Is this something all 04's need to get fixed or only if you have a problem?
