Now, I have a stock air intake, and maybe it would prevent water getting into an aftermarket intake. BUT.... you can spray small amounts of water directly in to the intake and it won't hurt anything. in the tutorial, it says you made a double layer, which means if you gain 100 RWHP, its now 200 RWHP, hence the HP multiplies times 2, or 50X2 making it a total of 100 RWHP!
if for no other reason... its making up for the fact that GM did NOT put one on at the factory, so you're just doing it for them... performance increase? Hell no, but it makes sense to have one there... every other car does, why shouldn't the vette?
