If the price includes the aluminum endlinks, then I say yes it's a good price.

New or used?

I think Fred Beans sells them new for less than $300. Give them a call.

I just sold my used ones to another forum member for $175 with local pickup. Maybe it was a good deal for him, but I was glad to get some garage space.

What all does the $230 include?

Keep in mind that in addition to the sway bars, you will also need the correct size bushings. To my knowledge, model year 2002 and newer C5s came from the factory with the aluminum end links. (See following link: C5 Model Year Differences) So check your end links before buying. If your car already has the aluminum end links, you shouldn't need these which could save you some money.

Which suspension does you car have now?

For model years 2000 and later, the FE3 (Z51) suspension uses the same rear sway bar as the FE4 (Z06) suspension. So, if your model year '02 car has the Z51/FE3, you would only need the front Z06 bar and bushings.

Before you buy:

Check prices with the following Forum supporting vendors and buy only those parts you need. I think you will find their prices very competitive:

Fichtner Chevrolet
Parts Manager: Bob Wendorff
800-234-5284
E-Mail: parts@fichtnerchevrolet.com

Fred Beans Buick Pontiac GMC
Parts Manager: Gene Culley
610-495-1700
E-mail: [EMAIL]gculley@fredbeans.com[/EMAIL

Fichtner Chevrolet lists a front and rear Z06 sway bar package with bushings and you can order this package with or without the aluminum end links, depending on what you need. See second item at the link below:

Fichtner On-Line Catalog

Also watch the C5 Parts for Sale/Wanted section of the Forum. You might find some good used bars at a fair price there.

Good luck with the upgrade.
