Hi, kinda new to the board and have really enjoyed it. I have '01 C5 vert with 16k miles. I was wondering if any of you had this happen. The Check Engine lite came on so I got into the DIC codes and it read
"10PCM PO410HC" and all the code reader said was "air". That was the only code I was showing so I reset it and in 2 days the Chk Eng lit came back on with the same code. I don't know if that is "air" like in the air flow sensor or what. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry I can't be of any help to you but I'd start by posting this over in the Tech section. Most of the true "techie" guys hang out over there and I'll bet you get more suggestions from them.

Greetings and welcome to the forum. I can't help you with the fix and this code has a long list of diagnostics, here is a little more detail to the cause. I agree that a post in the tech section might get you a solution.

DTC P0410
Circuit Description
A secondary air injection (AIR) pump is used on this vehicle in order to lower the tail pipe emissions during start-up. The powertrain control module (PCM) supplies a ground to the AIR pump relay, which energizes the AIR pump.

The PCM monitors the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) voltages in order to diagnose the AIR system.

During the AIR test, the PCM activates the AIR pump during closed loop operation. When the AIR is activated, the PCM monitors the HO2S voltages, and monitors the short-term fuel trim values for both banks of the engine. If the AIR system is operating correctly, the HO2S voltages should be low, and the short-term fuel trim should be high.

If the PCM determines that the HO2S voltages for both banks did not respond with the expected results during the tests, DTC P0410 sets. If only 1 sensor responded, the PCM sets either DTC P1415 or DTC P1416. The active DTC indicates which bank has the inoperative AIR system.

Hey thanks a bunch. Sounds like it's dealer city for me. A good dealer is about 50 miles away so I'll have to work it in somehow but anyway thanks for your help and I'll remember next time to post where it should be.

Before you take it to the dealer, try the gas cap. Take it off (open it) and put it back on and make sure it clicks 4 or 5 times. The one time my light came on, someone suggested doing that and it worked for me.

I had that code in the past. One of the hose came loose on the air system. It was the first clamp off of the drivers side header that somehow came loose. I presume I did not put the clamp on properly when I installed some lg pros. Good luck.

i have been dealing with the dreaded p0410 code since a header install.
you can turn it off yourself by clearing the code with the dic. it will either stay gone or come back. mine came on 3 different times after clearing it. now i have the p1415 code popping on. so it has now become just a one sided issue. but....the thing turns itself off now, the check engine light, after a few times of driving it. but... the computer remembers this untill 40 or so successful warmups without sniffing a problem before dleteing the history code. so at this very moment it is sitting in the dlrs service dept. to be fixed. i hope!!!!! the p0410 code is a issue with the air pump to both sides. i was told it only comes on when cold and for just a minute or so untill the temp is up just a little. but my check engine light would come on after several miles. when fully warmed up. maybe it does some sorta check on the system then. check all your hoses, pull the big one off on the driver side when stone cold, start the car. see if there is any gurgle, gurgle sound with air blowing out of it. there are also two fuses to the air pump. a little 10-15 amp one and a big relay one under the hood by the battery. check them. good luck
