Default Texas Speed Performance Part 1

Write up from front to back.......many pictures to follow...

I will also be evaluating customer service, performance (bolt on/tuned), fitment, and any other misc things I encounter.

Order process.

Placed order at around noon on Friday the 12th. Paid by Visa. I believe the rep I spoke with was John. Very friendly, happy to answer all my questions. Made me feel good about my transaction. Said he would have it shipped today (ups picks up at 4) or no later than tomorrow ( Saturday). Also took down my email address to forward me a tracking number.

Monday- still no tracking number at around 5pm so I called. They explained to me it just left and here is the tracking number. I took the tracking number and verified it with UPS. It worked

Tuesday-nothing to report

Wednesday- Package delivered via UPS. GF signed for it. Box was wide open.. 7:30pm I get home to inspect. After getting out all the parts I was short 1 connecting pipe and 2 O2 extenders. TSP closes at 6CDT. Called UPS to complain about my package being open and missing parts. Filed a claim. Most likely will take at least 8 days to complete. Drove all around town to all my parts stores to see if I couldn't find the missing parts. No one has a 3-2.5 inch reducer, and the O2's extenders are 2-3 days away.

Thursday- 10am Called TSP, had them review my order and explained what happened. I requested they overnight me the missing parts. Still reps are being outstanding and being helpful. He said "I'll see what I can do and will call you later this morning". So i'm waiting to hear back..

Quality. So far These bad boys look freakin GOOD!!!! i'm very excited to install. Assuming I can have the parts overnighted to me I'll start the install tonight and finish tomorrow after the parts arrive.

So far i'm very happy with TSP and would strongly recommend them. Assuming my box didn't open it was a pretty flawless transaction, on some high quality headers. Considering all you get including shipping you spend less than $700. As they advertise, the Vette tax has been lifted. I'll have a part 2 with pics of the headers out of the box and the install stay tuned!!

Default Mine are supposed to arrive today via UPS

Keep Us posted on the install and what you have to remove to get them in. I'm assuming they drop in from the top, but I bet you have to disconnect the steering linkage on the drivers side.

I'm gonna try to take pictures of very bolt that comes off (with in reason) and any particular stratagies used to install. I'll have about 3 buddies watching me... so ya.. there will be plenty of pictures..

John at TSP called. He can't over night the parts on his dollar but can do it on mine. His offer is after the claim from UPS is processed he will reimburse me for the expenses...So I'm paying for 1 connecting pipe and 2 extenders plus over night shipping ($80). in a week or so when the claim is paid to him he will pay me back... So i'm satisfied. I understand their position and respect it. Header install tonight on schedule.

I LOVE TSP. Jason, John, all the guys out there are great. Except for forgetting to pack some stuff (cough cough Jason) they're great. Great guys there, very good customer service, and they are very knowledge able. Keep up the good work guys.

Default 90% Installed today!

Got them both in and bolted up. On the passenger side had to unbolt the starter and wiggle it by putting them in from the top. On the driver's side, had to undo the steering link, ground strap. But they went in from the bottom. All's well now tomorrow, I will bolt up the midpipes and connections and should be ready to go. My kit was missing the O2 extensions for the front O2's and the tabs that should bolt to the bellhousing are about 1" off, so I'll have to fab up a plate to span the distance. But other than that, they're in! Whew! Thank goodness for friends!
