Every once in a while, I’ll get a, “CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT” message immediately after start-up. The message will appear on the DIC for a few seconds and then disappear without me touching reset or anything else for that matter. Does anyone else get this too? Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance for any responses.
I get that message occasionally also. I took it in to be repaired several years ago and they changed the alternator and put in a new battery. That seemed to help for a while then it started again. It hasn't done in for a while until about a week ago and then it has done it 4 or 5 times this week. It always goes away by itself without me punching reset or anything.
I was wondering if it could be a bad ground causing the problem. It seems these cars are notorious for having ground problems
I have had problems with my 04 since I bought it. It won't start with the first turn of the key, but will on the second. I have had it in and they replaced the ignition, but no help. The charge system fault came on a few times but hasn't come on in awhile. So basically, I am no help, but if anyone knows anything, I would like to hear as well.
I got my 2001 in Dec 05. I have had the same message about three or four times. It went away after a couple of secs. This happen in January or Feb. Has not occured since.
I have the same message every once in a while. Seems about twice a week lately. I am starting to wonder if I just need a new battery. If anyone actually knows how to fix this please let us know......

I had it happen for the first time a week or so ago. Just came on for a second after I started the car. Hasn't happened since. I had washed my engine the day before, but covered the alternator with a plastic bag. Don't know if washing the engine had anything to do with it. I just used simple green followed by a rinse of trickling water. No pressure at all. Anyway, hope it doesn't happen again.

I had that happen a few times on my 01 couple a years ago. I had a loose battery cable. Tightened the cables. No more problems. If you don't make them tight enough they vibrate loose after awhile. Now I check about once a month. But it did exactly like you said. System charge fault and than go away.
