Sure... Just when I want to go Red and have convinced my mod critic that is the way to go... I already have BLACK!!!
Oh well... I'm leaning hard to go to chrome brackets (Oh yeah, 125 FT lbs here baby- I'm man enough to get there! ) Then use the ss inserts behind the pads... KARSC5 made my mind up after looking at his!!!
I do have Red lettering but maybe on a TR Vert, white is more of an eye catcher???
Looks nice!!
Oh yeah, no jackstands like rws.1 says...???
Too risky!! BE SAFE!!! Live to type again on the Forum!!

loved your post. But talk is cheap, pal; let us know how it goes with those bolts... when my wife came out to the car and found me in tears, I had to tell her I got something in my eyes. But in truth, those things nearly broke me...
Actually, here's a tip (to use at your own risk; I don't know how smart this was). On the driver's side I ended up putting a wrench on the bolt and then breaking the bolt free by putting pressure on the wrench with my floor jack... basically jacking the wrench "up" to get it going. You can't do it on the passenger side (wrong direction of rotation and stuff in the way) but I suppose you could LOWER the CAR with the wrench braced by something. But again, be careful.

Not a bad tip...but you're right, BE CAREFUL!!
As far as taking my bolts loose... or tightening them,...I tip the scales pretty hard so a bit of torque is not much of an issue for a big boy like me... Seriously... I just took mine off all the way around a month ago for a nice cleaning... Then of course, it rained on us during the weekend trip we were on... I will say using a nice long breaker bar helps a bit and my ratcheting-clicker style torque wrench just clicks enough past one click to tighten them back up !! (This is with the wheels just a half inch or so off the ground...) Next time you want to tighten yours, give me a call... You can "stop by" and I'll give 'em an extra tug for ya!!
