Default Playing With My DIC

Does anyone else leave the DIC on instantaneous fuel mileage then laugh at seeing 98 MPG when coasting on the interstate? I don't need no stinkin' Prius.

Why did Chevrolet misspell "Gauges" on the panel controlling the DIC? Don't say there wasn't room, they could have moved the E/M button to the top and fit the word gauges on a bigger button further down. Or am *I* wrong and this is the correct spelling in the USA?

The General saved $.002 for each button by leaving out the "U".

I prefer to have someone with softer hands play with my DIC.

Yeah, I played with the DIC once. I somehow managed to change the language and it took me 30 mins of messing with it to get back to English. STAY AWAY FROM THE LANGUAGE SETTING!

A month or so back, my DIC broke. Yeah...so I took it in to the dealership and when the guy came out and asked what was wrong, I just said "my corvette's DIC is broken...it doesn't pop up any more". The guy just looks at me funny, and say "What"? So I show him..."the DIC is broken...see, it doesn't pop up when you play with it." He says..."oh, the odometers broke". I go to work, and my friends ask why I'm late. I tell them that my DIC was broken...they gave me their condolences...and said if their DIC was broken, they wouldn't even come into work.
