I just recently purchased a 99 coupe and it has almost all the options except for active handling. Now what im wondering is how can i get active handling installed just like stock without going to the dealer and having them charge me an arm and a leg for whatever they do. Or is their a way i can get it activated another way i really want to get it. Im open for option and opinions

Active handling employs yaw sensors and connects to the PCM and the brakes. I'm sure there is a way - anything is possible if you throw enough $$$ at it. It would be far more economical to simply buy a different car. I have it and I wouldn't own my car without it - but to tell the truth, it wasn't until I got on the Forum that I knew about it. So don't feel too bad that you didn't choose a car with it. You aren't the first one to say that.
And by the way, the only stupid questions are the ones you don't ask!
I don't know if its that great. The other day I went into a 90 degree turn pretty hard, but still well under control, and it set off active handling. It scared me for a second to be in a turn then that have car all of the sudden do that WTF. I don't claim to be an expert driver or anything but I am sure I could have made the same turn at the same speed in a lesser car without any problems. Between the ABS and the active handling it seems I get a message and the WTF feeling on every bumpy corner. Sorry I don't have a better explannation of the way it acts other than WTF.
Active handling can save your butt on a cold day when tire grip isn't as good. The first time I went to pass a car with active handling
disabled, I went sideways! Needless to say, I do not disable it anymore.
oh god....... active handling isok but where have the men gone, i used to drive sideways down the block in my old cars, be careful and dont be an a$$hole u will be more than fine, these r muscle cars, i used to drive my 92 with drag radials home from work in the snow, it had 450 rwhp and the rear tires were 315's..granted i did leave work as soon as i saw some flakes... in my 5.7 iroc on rainy days id see how many blocks i could go sideways...no traction and no active handling
