Optima Red Top - Cover
Hi,
I saw someone with a smooth cover over their optima redtop. They added an emblem for a nice finish. I can not find the red top cover anywhere. Any forum memebers know where to get one?

That is a nice cover but I think you should get a cover for the whole compartment, so you don't have to see the battery or the whole fuse box. It has an opening so the fuse box protrudes out a little but everything else is hidden.

Here's mine. Yes, there is a red top undrneath it.
I used the extra plastic adapter piece that came fastened to the bottom of the 75/35 Optima (but isn't needed for use in the C5).
This plastic adapter you'll note has two round openings made to clear the posts, so it can be used on the top of the battery, and the cover I simply stuck to the adapter with doublesided tape. and it then clears the top posts.
I found this pic of the cover off, so you can see what I mean:
If you have the larger 34/78 battery, you may need to improvise a little, , as I'm not sure if it comes with that adapter piece.
