been toying with the idea of adding a C5 to teh stable....figure the wife has a better shot of being able to drive it to shows. My question is can the passenger side airbag be turned off? one of the reasons i want a newer one is so the wife could driv eit to the show with one rugrat while i take the other in the 74 or 66. Course if the airbag can't be diasabled tha tkind of kills that idea.......let me know
2001 and newer Corvettes come equipped from the factory w/ a passenger side air bag cut-off switch. The older C5's can have an A/B switch installed. I installed one in my '98 a few years ago. Took me a couple of hours. Good luck....
Mid year 2000 and later came with the switch. I can get the VIN break point, I will have to search the Service manuals.
But it is mid 2000 and later.
The above post has 2 links. They are the best resource. But remember the belt that comes with the kit MUST be changed. Or it will defeat the whole purpose.
I installed the kit last year, any questions, drop me a PM

On mid-2000 model year and newer cars, they come with a passenger air bag cutoff switch. If you buy an earlier model, they can be retrofitted with the switch. Fichtner Chevy or Fred Beans can get the parts for you.
