Problem Installing Halltech Stinger Please Help :)
I just yanked out my stock airbox to install the Halltech Stinger Intake in my '98 Vette. Everything was going pretty good, then I noticed that the smooth hose that replaces the accordian one doesn't have a hole for the tiny "I'm-not-sure-what-it-does-hose" in the picture.
Did I get the one for the 01-04, or is there something else I can do?
I'd love to get this installed today, so if anyone knows anything let me know.

Actually that hole is left up to you to drill. The reason is that we used to drill the hole in the connector hose, but everyone installs the hose in a different position, which would sometimes hide the hole resulting in folks drilling a second hole and then the lean code calls due to the leak from one of the holes.
There is a supplemental instruction sheet you should have received, but it is simple to do.
1) Take the stock airbridge and find the hole on the side of the bellows that corresponds with the vaccum line. Match a drill to that size hole.
2) Pre-intall the Stinger (loosely) and mark where the hole would go by pushing the vaccum line up to the hose.
3) Take the connector hose back off; Drill it with the bit you selected.
4) Clean it up and reinstall the Stinger.

Jim your customer service and products are top notch I bought your stinger ssm for my 03 Z and talk about an easy install/sotp performance, and a real quality product. Keep up the good work Jim.

I, too, was impressed with Jim's willingness to answer questions and how easy the Stinger was to install on my '02 Z.

Jim and his wife were just the best on a issue I had. Just a coupler color issue with my Stinger system. They never forgot me and came through despite a time frame issue. Thanks again Jim. I am glad to be able to thank you on the forum here.

I installed the intake with no problems. I have one concern though; the hose that connects to the filter itself seems like it's being bent at a strange angle. Did I mess up installing it?
(Sorry this is blurry, my camera is a cheese ball)

You just need to twist the hose a little to get it to lay flat on the shroud. There is a 180 degree connector that you can use as a twist joint as well. Some folks cut some of the extra hose off.
This A.I.R pump hose only runs for about 60 seconds when you first start up to deliver fresh air to the exhaust manifold to help burn off extra fuel during the initial fuel enrichment cycle (like the choke cycle).
