Hubby and I were heading into Portland yesterday on the 3 lane I-5, just crusing along in the center lane. I'm driving.....The left lane seemed to be going about 20 over the limit, and this being a location known for enforcement, I choose to stay in the middle and watch the fly-bys on the left. [ I've seen a LOT of tickets being given along this stretch of the road] By the by I see a new Aston Martin Vanquish in my rear view mirror, approaching in the fast lane. I'm pretty easy with the waves to other Vettes, but not usually other cars. However, I figure that this cool car, silver like my C5, deserves a wave, so as it appraches side by side, I give the guy a wave. He immediatly drops speed to match mine, holds position next to us, leans over from the driver seat and flips me really HUGE thumbs-up, and then a wave. Really cool that a non-Vette would be so enthusiastic in return ot the wave. After that he resumed his prior speed and motored on past.
I always give a wave or a thumbs up to another cool car. Mostly they are like me...they love their automobile. Most of the time I get a wave in return. Can't say I've been snubbed by any particular group. Of course, being a chick in a red Vette might help.
