Can anyone explain why the remote to open the Vette is referred to as an FOB. No one else appears to know, so the 1st correct answer will be an official Vette Guru, to me anyway.
I am grasshopper, learning to walk on "rice paper" as far as Vette's go.
A small pocket at the front waistline of a man's trousers or in the front of a vest, used especially to hold a watch.
A short chain or ribbon attached to a pocket watch and worn hanging in front of the vest or waist.
An ornament or seal attached to such a chain or ribbon.
GM must had 9 meetings and 13 powerpoint presentations to come up with that FOB stuff.
A simple REM Remote Entry Module or Remote Keyless Entry RKE would make sense and is simple. The KISS rule.
Thanks for your input and at least they made the Vette.
God Bless Them!
I have read there is a book out about the trials GM had of getting the C-5 into production from the C4. I am sure I would find it amusing.
I may recommend it to our local College Communications Department after I read it. It may help prepare students for the corporate world of decision by committee.
