Although it may seem intimidating, It's a pretty easy/straightforward job. Took me less than 2 hours to do start to finish, but I installed a new inner cluster bezel that I had already glued the rings on, so when I did pull the cluster, I only had to swap bezels, and not mess with the gluing procedure.
The only part of the job I found somewhat a PITA was seperating the main harness connector from the cluster. That thing was on very tight, and since you can't really see the connector you're trying to seperate, I was only hoping I was trying to remove it correctly. It finally came off with enough wiggling.
SSinserts has the best price on the bezels. Toss the glue that comes with them and go out and buy a tube of gel type superglue. I had three fall out with regular superglue, but all have held with the gel type glue. Wash the oil off them when you get them before you glue them in. If you have never taken the cluster out, it should take you about 3 hours for the whole job. Also, you can remove the radio bezel without taking out the console. Remove the bolts (waterfall too for a vert) and slide it all the way back. You will be able to now remove the bezel (with some patience). This easier than trying to put the fuel door release wire back on later.
The vette essentials instructions are good as indicated above, ALSO if you are even thinking about white faces gauges do them at the same time!! Good luck
I just did mine last weekend and it wasn't too bad. As stated above use the instructions from vette essentials and you can't go wrong. I picked mine up from the vette shop, a forum vendor for about 80 bucks. It was the best price I could find. The quality was great.
