Line Lock Question

Guys,
Here's another one of those dumbass q's....
All the line lock installs i've read about on this GREAT forum refers to connecting the line lock to the 'right front brake line'.... I thought both front tires would have to be locked to get a satisfactory launch. What did I miss?

You don't want to launch with a line lock, quite the opposite. There is enough force in the line to stop the car with one wheel aparrently which may be why they only use one.
