OH MY GOD!!!!!!! He stomped his foot to the floor in a car that was meant to have the accelerator stomped...........and he wasn't on a racing track! OH MY GOODNESS. I can't believe this thread has lasted this long.
SOMEONE PLEASE PM A MODERATOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE...........!!!
Or fuss at him..............just do something for Gods sake!
Its amazing too me that that the c5 versus the NSX thread was canned rather quickly, and here we have someone romping on a hopped up car on the streets.
Sorry EG...........this aint intended to offend you at all bro...........I wish you hadnt blown grond...........that car is fine as hell.
But this is meant to be a comparison as to how silly things get here at times.

This was all done on a close track, with a professional driver.

Well knowing how much pleasure you get working on Grond, all I can say is enjoy With all that juice it was just a matter of time on the stock bottom end so don't sweat it.

Ya know E.G.,.........Our crew was just thinking maybe you would be better off with some sort of ZIPPER on the hood and you must have noticed how after all we've seen from the "Da Vinchi" of the carbon fiber we just expect, your larger than life, life that just has to feel like a lot of pressure, dont let it bother you as half of the country by now supports your good efforts compleatly and now let the FUN begin!!!!!!!!!

Hey, EG, got an idea for you ... and for us Grond Chronicles junkies. Install a live webcam in your garage, maybe a couple of them, so we can monitor your progress, or lack thereof, and somewhat satisfy our voyeristic tendencies. Whata ya think?

I was behind you when you blew that piston and the smell and smoke told the story. Glad you will have a newer, bigger, badder install and it will rock. Good luck.

Hi EG -
I am sorry to hear about your car - bad timing.
I have to tell you that your attitude should stand as a lesson for the rest of us.
I admire the way you handled the problem and still had a great time.
Best of luck in speedy repairs and an even better iteration of "the hammer" .
best regards-

OK, EG, bear with me here, a question from a relatively non-tech guy: When I watch American Hot Rod - OK, I know, I know - they order up new crate monster engines - 572 inches or some such - they arrive all shrink wrapped and clean and ready to install - from JEGS, or some such place - could you or would you drop such a mill into Grond?
