Default AUTO DOWN window switches

Can you make it so that the windows don't automatically go into auto down when you even just lightly depress the switch? I do like the auto down feature sometimes, but most of the time, it annoys me that they just automatically go down when I want the windows opened only slightly.
Thanks,
Chris

I know of no way to do this... and I know exactly what you are talking about. Sometimes one only wants to "crack open' the window a small amount but the thing goes into auto-down half the time.

It is too sensitive IMO

it would be nice to have that them just go down and when you let go they stop and if you wanted auto down just press the button all the way down. I had a car that had a 4way switch where the first click was manual up down and then you fully depress or lift up the button to get to the second click for the auto up/down feature. Oh well GM takes baby steps in things like this

You do know that if you push the down button twice, the window stops on the second push. If you tap tap the down button, it just cracks the window... no big deal, right?? Dave

also if you hold the button and then release it at any point before it reaches the bottom, the window will stop right where you lift off your finger.

I do it all the time. If you hold it until it gets to where you want it and let go, it will stop. It's when you do the tap and release that they go down all the way......

I agree it's a poorly designed feature...

I think that is true, but when you only want to crack the windows to let just a little air in, its like just giving it just a tap.....which then invokes auto-down. then you have to tap it again, and its lower than you wanted it, then you have to hit the up again.

I would be nice if they had the two-stage switch, as someone else mentioned. First stage is manual, then press it a little more and you go to auto-down.

Oh well, just thought there might be something that improved on the switches function.
