I have a 2002 Z06 and would like to install the Tornado. This product is not available for Vettes; however I could purchase one based on size. Has any one in the forum tried the system and is it worth the effort?
I don't know anyone who's installed one on a vette. I have a friend who installed one on his truck. He said he thinks he would have gained more HP from installing STP stickers on his windows. I'd say spend your mod money on something else.
Time after time the American Automobile Club ("triple-A") the Southern California Automobile club and other third-party, independant testing facililties have tested the Tornado and other similar devices and they NEVER improve fuel economy or performance.

They just had this on the local news here last night reference ways around high gas prices. They said the Tornado does nothing for your mileage or perfomance.
These things fit in the same boat as the Lifetime Battery they wouldn't sell the public, the Pellets that you put in the gas tank and just add Water, the special Tuner that can get you 60mpg.
That said, anybody remember the Mobil Economy Run? 60 mpg running "stock" 60s cars mostly done by driver training, slow acceleration, careful braking, practice driving with an egg under the drivers foot and gas pedal.
Never duplicated in real life driving!
What gets me is Sam Memello from Two Guys Garage is now Humping the Tornado??? I guess Money for Retirement.
Barrier
Buy 2 of them and stack them one on top of the other. Then you'll have to call NOAA and alert them that you have two tornadoes going off inside your car. As mentioned earlier, watch out for those flying cows and projectile debris!

Save yourself the trouble and fabricate your own. Get a piece of newspaper, wad it up in a ball and cram it up the air duct. That should provide about the same amount of restriction as one or two of those tornado thingys.
Has anyone seen the muffler system with the little propellers in the exhaust pipes? The add was endorsed by Rusty Wallace... friggen hilarious!
