Default Engine Tuning @ COW...Help

Just met Chuck @ Corvettes at Westchester. He has got to be one of the nicest, knowledgable, and helpful guys to talk to. I am considering doing one of his "Special Tunes." I was just wondering if anyone out there has had this done, and what I can expect from an '04 LS1 Auto. I also have the following mods already Corsa Cat Backs, and K&N air intake.

A lot depends on what program he is using (LS1 Edit, HPTuners, EFiLive, etc.) and what mods you have. If your car is basically stock you won't get much in the way of rwhp but your A4 is going to act night-and-day differently. The adjustments a good tuner can make to the torque management, shift points/firmness, torque converter lock-up, etc. can make a HUGE difference in seat-of-the-pants feel and quarter-mile performance. Don't forget to have him turn the fans on/off 10 degrees cooler to stabilize temperature and tweek your air/fuel curves. Depending on price, a lot of guys wait for heavy exhaust mods (long tubes) or gears before going for a full dyno tune. Hope this helps...

My friend brought his stock 99 A4 to Chuck for a tune. He said it really wakes up the car because the shift points are more agressive. I plan to get mine down there soon.

Default Chuck's Tunes

Took my '99 Coupe, A4 to Chuck for a tune (Nov., '05) and I'm very happy with the end results. Along with some tweeks to my stock engine, the A4 tune finished up on the money. The best thing is HE DOESN'T GIVE UP, HE DOESN'T SETTLE. HE GOES AFTER THE BEST TUNE AND THE BEST RESULTS AND he listens to what YOU want. After you drive it for a week or so, if you don't like a particular change, he's glad to take another shot at it till he gets it right. He re-tunes for free as you go through different mods - I don't know of any other tuner that does that. That alone means money well spent. I was considering some more drastic mods (heads & cam, etc.), after the tune I deceided to stay engine stock and enjoy the reliability that comes with that while still enjoying the minor Z06 changes that I had made. Any more power and I'd probably get in trouble. i think he used HP tuners program.

PS - I'M NOT THE GUY MENTION ABOVE.

I just finished a mail order tune with Chuck where I sent him my PCM and I'm impressed to say the least.

I'm sure you will be very happy.

Don't hesitate, go straight to Chuck. He tuned my 2005 C-6 automatic for me last year and the difference is simply AMAZING!. Never got any check engine lights, just lots more power. Chuck realy knows his stuff, don't take a chance bringing it to someone who just tunes here and there, Chuck does this all the time and before you leave his shop you and Chuck will test drive the car at least a few times so he can log all the information on his lap top so he can check everything and make sure you are happy and your car is fully optomized!.
