It was in this mornings Houston Chronicle. GM strikes again, with more poor quality. I wonder if the roof problem will last thru the whole C6 run, like our steering column lock did.
In Before The Lock!!! This was discussed at our Vette club mini cruze yesterday. It's the glue that bonds the plastic exterior to the magnesium frame that lets go. The frame stays in the car just fine, the skin comes off. One would think that with all the C5 roofs demonstrating a strong bond, even surviving unintentional flight and crash, that they would have had sense enough to use the same glue or bonding foam they used on our C5s..
Just one more reason that the C5 is my choice....Better looks and better roof!
That's unfortunate that the C6 cars have this stupid issue. I hope that no one gets hurt before the issue is resolved! DO NOT FOLLOW a C6 TO CLOSELY!!!
IB4TL. there is no excuse for this sort of recall. american car builders wonder why the asian brands kill them every year in consumer & industry surveys. this is precisely why our dd is one of those asian brands. bub
