What was the first year for Torch Red?

Saw a really nice-looking Torch Red Vette yesterday, a C4. It was in beautiful condition but I didn't know that color was available in '95.

Anybody know when Torch Red first became an option for Corvettes?

OK, that clears it up for me.

I was parked down by the waterfront park yesterday and the guy pulled in next to me and we struck up a conversation. Vettes are great conversation starters, by the way.

As I'd never before seen a Torch Red C4, I wasn't sure it was a factory color and for a moment thought it'd been repainted and I didn't want to say anything to the guy about it.

Glad I didn't.
