Boy, do I feel stupid...
Great, I have a short or some other electrical problem that means I am going to have to take it to the dealer.
Today I am looking at the car and I can see the DRL bulb is right up against the lens. Unbotton the panel, pull the socket and there is no bulb! Evidently when I put the bulb in the socket, it was not fully engaged and while I was trying to get the socket back into the fitting, the bulb must have popped out. Now it is laying in there and I don't know how to get it out. So I put another bulb in the socket and everything works fine.
Now I just have to figure out how to get the loose one out from behind the lens
I miss the days when a bulb change meant taking two or four screws out of the lens to go straight into the bulb. Don't even get me started about changing a head light bulb on my beater (Taurus).
I think that set up was designed by the Marquis de Sade
