Help: Caravaggio Corvetes Spoiler Question
I recently bought a spoiler from John and UPS called the other day and said I had to have someone clear it through customs. I did not know this. They said I'd have to do it or they could have someone call me. They did and I was told approx. $140 to finish shipping it after clearing customs and all other charges. Is this right. That make this one expensive spoiler.

I had gotten a couple of bills after the spoiler was delivered from UPS asking me for some customs charge.??????????
I kept throwing those in the trash until they stopped sending them.
I guess they are making sure people pay them now before they get their stuff.
I had no idea what the charge was for and I was NOT going to pay for something AFTER the fact. Tell me up front so I have the option to decide.
Don't just send a bill, with no explanation and expect me to pay....... ain't happening.

Wow! How much did the spoiler cost????
I've been thinking of getting one in the future. I have also been toying with getting this on from ACI. I haven't made up my mind on which one to go with. I have not seen either one installed in person. Any help with this decision would be appreciated.

If they want my money, they gotta do better than that. You need to do more to get MY money than just ask for it.... Gotta tell me why, AND, tell me BEFORE the fact so I can make the decision to do it or not, NOT after I have no choice but to pay up.

What a joke! A friend of mine just got one and it was tied up in customs for a few weeks, he went round and round with them to get it out, even had to call John.I've heard many stories like this. I don't understand why they can't ship spoilers to a warehouse or another company for distribution here in the States.

From what I remember, the bills never said that the charge was related to any specific shipment, since it said UPS Global I just assumed it was related to the shipment from Caravaggio since that was the only global package I knew of.
I paid shipping charges to Caravaggio. It only made sense to me that UPS would require full payment before they would even pick up the box from Caravaggio, much less deliver it to my door.
It sounded to me like UPS decided they wanted some more $$$ several weeks later and sent me a bill.

received a personal phone call today from John and was told NOT to pay anything as he is responsible for teh shipping charges. I was happy to hear that. He said UPS stated it was out for delivery. We'll see I guess.
