I have a 01 triple black convert and everytime I have the top down the passengers side visor rattles. I thought it was the vanity mirror assembly, but it wasn't It seems to be the bar going threw. Anyone experiancing the same problem and if so......what is the remedy?
my coupe does too, I find if I hold it it's ok but I usually drive around with it unclipped. very annoying, I've been meaning to get around to doing something about it, I think if I wrap the end piece in something a dark rubber band, maybe some tape, I just think it needs to be a bit thicker.
I have the same problem on the driver's side. I put black electrical tape in the clip and it worked for about a week and fell out when I moved the sun visor. Maybe something more permanent like black silicone to tighten it would work. It is a nuisance!
I have the same rattle on the driver side visor. I tried the tape and it wore off. Now I stick the end of a flat tooth pick between the visor shaft and the retainer cup and snap it off flush. It holds fine even if you turn the visor down. If you pull it away from the retainer, the pick falls on the floor and you reinsert it when you put it back to normal position. All is well again with the world.
I have a convertible and had a sun visor vibration. What I found out in my case, was that the plastic cover of the mirror was hitting the frame. I just pulled the visor down a tad and it stops..
I had the same problem. I just used a rubber band to hold the vanity together. I still get some rattling, I think I will stick a gauze or something on the vanity and have the rubberband push down on it. Hopefully that will work.
What I thought might work well is that liquid rubber stuff, you dip the handle part of tools in it and then let it dry and if forms a rubber coating, I used to have some in black, that stuff is pretty neat, works well. Probably would make a clean job.

Mine did this. I determined it was the clip that the visor bar hooked into and when I replaced the clip, the noise stopped. As a temp fix, I just wrapped a piece of black electrical tape around the end of the visor bar and that tightened it up until the new clip came in.
