Default Clutch Question

First of all, thanks to all for the warm reception to my new guy post yesterday, it goes to show that vette owners are a cut above. As I stated in that post, I bought a '99 FRC w/91,000 miles, my question concerns clutch longevity, the clutch in the car is original, under normal driving conditions, how much longer do you think I will get good service out of it? It has no issues now but I just want to start preparing myself.

Jody.

Couple of years ago I bought my 99 with 84k miles on it. Clutch was smoked. First mod I did to car was installing a RAM 980 VDS and new hydraulics...

Will depend on how prior owners treated the car. I figure orig clutch is lucky to survive 60k, so at 90k + you had better start shopping for a replacement.

Thanks for the insight, why did you replace the hydraulics, was this an upgrade or were there issues?

I've got 141K on my original clutch and it still grabs like a vise...and yeah I always downshift.
