He guys, my driver side window wobbles just slightly (if looking through it, it will wobble towards and away from me) and it's really starting to bother me. The car is an '04 and the passenger side is solid... Any tips on how to tighten her up? TIA
I'm assuming you mean when the window is up? perhaps the angle of the window towards the weatherstrip just needs to be changed. I tipped both of my windows "inward" (toward the cockpit) to get rid of some wind noise/water drip. if you remove the door panel, there is an adjustment bolt on the rear 1/3 of the door (right underneath where your armrest was) that, if you turn the bolt counterclockwise after the nut is removed, it will push the bottom of the window outwards, thus pushing the top of the window inwards...this will form a better seal with your weatherstip. then just replace the nut, button the door panel back up and you're good to go. hope this helps
Hey kawboy5792, thanks for the reply! Actually, I'm not having any water/wind issues, the window sits firmly against the weatherstripping, it's actually that the window is loose! When the window is up, it will wobble slightly... It's hard to explain, but if you have the door open all the way and stand looking throught the window perpendicular, hold the top of it, it will move about 1/8th of an inch towards and away from you...
I'm going from memory from installing a new window motor...
Open the door and feel underneath it. There are 2 square rubber access covers. Pull them off. Now you have access to the tip in/out adjustments. One is probably loose. Should take less than 5 minutes to check this and way easier than pulling the door panel.
