Default first vette

Hey guys. New to the board. I'm looking to buy my first vette. Looking at two cars. 2000 coupe automatic with 14,000 miles bowling green with oak interior. 2002 convertible automatic with 10,000 miles white with oak interior. Both inspected and in pristine condition. Given the year and low miles are there any red flags I should be concerned about with either of these cars???

Appreciate the help.

I disagree, I saw a couple at CI7 in person and not only did I think it was a rare combo, but I thought the combo looked GORGUEOS together!
Topdog, your choice at its roots seem to comes down to a coupe or a convertible, and that's a tough choice, they're both great cars respectively. With a coupe you'll have alot more interior space with the option to take off the targa roof, which is very close to a open air convertible feel(as long as you don't look behind ya !), so, if I had to make a choice, I'd go for the Dark Bowling Green Metallic/light oak coupe, having a rare color combo will not stand you out in a crowd of car enthusiasts, but C5 CORVETTE ENTHUSIASTS alike! Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Shouldnt be any real concerns there are lots of low milage C5's still availble out there. I just picked up my 02 with 2400 miles on it a couple of months ago. What type of price and whatever options you prefer in the car is more important.

You don't mention what the price difference is.... but you should buy the newest car you can find that's within your budget.

If price doesn't matter get whatever you like they're both great cars.

Really appreciate the feedback. I live in Texas. I like both cars even though I struggle with the green/oak combo-----a little. Neither car is a Z06 but both have most other major options on them, i.e. f45 select drive, telescoping steering wheel, dual zone climate controls etc...The bowling green car comes with magnesium wheels. The price as it stands now is 28,900.00 for the 2000 and 32,900.00 for the 2002. No one has posted any real concerns so I guess will go with what I like the most.

Thanks and I look forward to future dialogue on this board.

Green is BEAUTIFUL!

Seriously - go with the color that you like the best. Of cousres, if you could find a DBGM vert, then the choice would be pretty simple...

WELCOME!
