Default Blue Devil project renamed. (Sting Ray)

Not sure if this has been posted yet or not but got this from Auto Week,

Sting Ray is reportedly now the working name of the Corvette that will feature more power than the Z06, above.

Car news briefs
Corvette Blue Devil project reportedly now called Sting Ray; team effort for Dodge Hornet

Maybe this is why the folks at General Motors can slyly smile and plausibly deny a super-powered Corvette Blue Devil is in the works. We hear Blue Devil (allegedly chosen to get the attention of GM CEO and Duke grad Rick Wagoner) is no longer the working name of the car but has been replaced by the more Corvette-centric Sting Ray moniker. Production of the $100,000 Blue, er, Sting Ray, with a supercharged 7.0-liter 600-hp V8 under its carbon fiber hood, could come as early as 2007.

Thats the truth. In 1 way its sort of nice for someone to come up next to 1 of our vetts and not know what they are getting themselves into C5,ZR1,C6,Z06 Ect.. and the wide range of power they are all capable of but,
I also think it is time to not be able to take a Stock C5 or C6 and make it look like a more expensive ZR1 or a Z06.

To have the Quote "Super Car" appeal and a look of its own the time has come.
