I am looking for new tires and would like some opinions on the TOYO PROXY T-1R
I have Standard C5 size NITTO's now and like them alot but am wanting to go bigger to Zo6 sizes which NITTO doesnt make in a reasonably priced street tire. Am wanting to change wheels so now is the time as I need new rubber.
Would like to know how they handle and ride. Noise factor etc. According to TOYO info they rate pretty good.
Also, according to the TOYO Specs the 265/40/17 is 25.3" tall and the 295/35/18 is 26.0" tall. Is this enough stagger to keep the handling system happy??
Car is daily driver and I don't race. But I do like to stick my foot in it once in awhile.
Great tires. I had mine for about 1000 miles now. Can't beat them for their price, performance, and looks. I aslo have z06 sizes way better traction than runflats, pretty good in the rain too. Ride great and no noise that I can hear. No probs with the active handling either. One question though are these tires going on c5 or z06 wheels, those sizes should go on a 9.5inch front and a 10.5rear wheel.
I am running new wheels with the TOYO's on my Z and have had no problems dry or wet. I have not raced the Z but do get into it when I drive and again I have had no problems.
I've got them too and love them. Nice and quiet and very smooth. I've put 8k miles on mine so far, and they still look new. I do some serious cornering in the canyons as well. So they don't seem to ware down fast. Unfortunately all that I can compare them to are the stock Run Flats. So I couldn't tell you how they compare to the Nitto's.
Thanks for all the great info. Yes they will go on 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 rims. Car is Silver Coupe and the wheels will be Black Zo6 with chrome lip and rivets.
