amp with stock head unit
i know in my old car with bose i couldnt install an amp/sub because of the head unit, can you in a c5?

You can also take a hi-low converter and tap the subs in the front door.
The interface linked to above is much easier and sounds better, though. Search them on google and Ebay and you'll find them cheaper.
Check the Audio Section. There's a great sticky on what you can do with the stock sound system.

You do what I did the first time.... You'll probably get a Hi-Low adapter and tap the rear speakers.
Then You'll be thoroughly dissapointed with the sound/performance.

and you'll either buy the adapter or swap the head unit (which needs an adapter to do also if you use the Blose system).
