Corvette mechanic austin texas
Any body recommend a mechanic in austin texas to work on my 02 z06. Looking for someone who knows the car, not the average shade tree mechanic.

ask for nobody other than Eddy Wallace at Henna in Austin.
he's the shop foreman, is a f3000 and busch grand national racer (driver and owns a team) and knows every inch of the vette, all years and models.
I speak from first hand experience - tell him Chris H sent ya. You'll be in great hands.

The guys at Corvette Country are quite good. Donnie is their head of service. He and John know the Vette very well.
If it's speed add ons, I use ART (american racing technology) down in Buda. They did my oil cooler install and it's right. Hoses padded and heat shielded, etc.

I recommend American Racing Technology in Buda, just south of Austin. They have done some excellent work on my C5 coupe. They specialize in Corvettes and Vipers. Cody the owner has a Z06 and a Viper. You can reach them at (512) 312-2258.

I would have to recommend Chris Johnson, the owner of Performance Motorsports http://www.performance-motorsports.com/
Most people on the Corvette Board know SW (who is known for having exceptional cars). Chris has a shop right next to SW and does a great deal of work for him. In fact, Chris just built SW a motor and fabricated a turbo kit (from scratch) for his red Viper.
Chris has unbelievable attention to detail and I recommend him highly. In fact, he is almost through with my 69 Camaro and should have room available shortly.
