Default Oh Crap!!

This older guy that works where I do just came up to me and told me he backed into my car yesterday when he was leaving. I had it parked with the cover on it and he said he did not see it. He was nice about it and told me to look it over good and let him know if there was any damage and he would turn it in to his insurance company. I thought he was kidding with me at first. Nothing stood out to me yesterday when I took the cover off and put it back on when I got home.

Now I have to sit here at work all afternoon and wonder if he screwed it up. I know what I will be doing when I get home!

Last night I had a dream that my wife wrecked my car! Isn't that strange.

He is not joking. He is a nice older guy and I am sure he will pay for any damage done to it. I will have to really inspect it this afternoon.

I am sure it took a lot of courage for him to tell you about it.

Hopefully, your Vette is okay, but if it isn't at least you know it wasn't some jerk who ran off and left you with the damages.

I would ask him how hard does he think he hit it before going nuts. Of course you want to look to see if there is damage, but if it is only a tap then paint damage is probably the extent of the damage. Of course if his car was floored and your car was his brake then you might have more damage.

BTW - I just had a dream that my wife drove the vette for the first time. She was amazed with the power and even though she knows how to drive a stick was having problems with the clutch so much so that she was not paying attention to the road and she ran a red light.

luckily we missed all the cars. When I woke up I looked at her and said you are never driving my car again. she was like, but I never drove your car - exactly....

This is so ironic! I recently had a similiar dream! I too told my wife that she would never drive my car! So, she said! When have I ever driven your car? Good question! Never!

Could have just been a tiny little Love Tap on the rear bumper and no damage as it's flexible.

Hope that's the case.

Good luck!

I don't think he could have hit it very hard. I had the cover on it so maybe there won't be any scratches or anthing (fingers crossed).

We hear so much about morons who run after vandalising a Vette, I think this thread should be changed to OH GOODIE!

Good luck I hope it was nothing as you seem to think.

When I had my Daytona IROC, someone ding'd my driver side door while I was at the gym. The guy left me a note saying his son did it when he got out of their car. He offered to pay. The damage was so slight, I didn't care. However I did call the guy and thanked him. In this day and age, that sort of honesty is rare.
