As far as I know, no one has done this project yet. There are many differences between the A4 C5 and the A6 C6 for example, the size of the output shaft, the C5 vs. C6 PCM and the wiring on the A6 transmission. Eventually, someone will probably make a kit to facilitate things but as of now, I don't think anyone has successfully transplanted one.

In my opinion the paddle shifter is not all that impressive. I drove one and was underwhelmed by it. In my mind the price would not justify the benefit (none, unless you want it for the "cool factor").

TFH (really hard). If you need the 6 speed auto, buy the C6. Understand that the paddle shifters don't do anything that the A4 lever doesn't. This is an auto trans, not a DSG as in Audi/BMW/Ferrari.
