Z06 antenna warning
While washing the Z tonight I noticed the antenna was very loose. If I hadn't noticed it, it would have probably gone bye bye in short order. I used some thread locker and tightened it back down. You might want to check yours. :cheers:

Thanks for the warning, but I don't think I would have used thread lock. If you want to take it off and throw it in the trunk (to keep from getting damaged or stolen), it might be alittle hard to do so :D

be careful using threadlock stuff on something that is a conductor,you might
reduce it's effectiveness.better just to check it often & snugg it up when required.

I plan on leaving the antenna loose on mine same as I did on my Z28's.
I take them off when I park and/or cover the car. I keep them strong hand tight and carry an extra that I have never had to use.

Yes I did and yes I will, once I get back from BG. In fact I have two extra ones, one from my 1984 Z28 and one from my 1998 Z28. I think its one part off a 84 Z28 that will fit on a 2002 Z06.

I have use it with a rag around it to help clean my wheels.
I have seen one used to open a locked car.
Could be used to clean crap out from in front of the radiator.
You can find all kinds of things to use it for.

I leave mine loose where I take it off before I send the car through the automated car wash. :eek:

You can also use it to tap on the guys window when he pulls in and parks to close to you.
You can also put a white flag on it to wave when a Viper pulls up next to you. NOT!!

That's a good one. I think we should start a new thread about posting a hundred and one uses for the Z06 antenna. Whaddaya think ?
Use it to poke an unruly service advisor.
Use it to strike the left quarter panel of a slow mustang automobile.
Find an S & M group and sell it as a new device for pleasuring themselves and a roomful of friends.
