Here is another option for you. These are the folks that make the Valentine 1 mount (Great Lakes Trophies) the 8500 mount is down at the bottom of the page.

I have this one for my V1 along with the short cord to the mirror. I can't imagine a better steup.

I am finalizing the design on a new mount like the one I use in my car. I did not want the detector to hang down below the mirror so this bracket actually attaches to the passenger visor clip, and places the 8500 just below the tint on the windshield and is far enough up that its far less noticable from outside the car.

I should have the product details up on my website soon!

They both look great, but I will just stick with my suction cups and save a few bucks.

Does anyone have a picture of what their radar detector looks like from the driver's view? I am specifically looking for the mount that screws into the mirror with the steel rod.

These look great and I hate to bash them but I would not submit my CC# to a non secure URL (not using https protocol). It actually looks like your info gets emailed to them which is even worse because email is a store and forward system. Every email server it gets routed through stores a copy of your email (including your Credit Card info) before sending it to the next. Make sure you either call or fax them if you place an order.

Fax: (734) 266-1817

These guys should really update their site. It is too easy in this day and age to get a domain name and a SSL certificate not to have one.

Or they could get PAYPAL.com which offers a secure way of doing business too.
