Default Tire ???

I wonder if the Firestone Wide Ovals have the fat look like my GY Sc tires? I getting ready to replace my original SC's and after looking for some replacement F1-SC. Seeing the back log for them has me looking at the firestones. If you have any pic's with them on you Z would be great. How the wear? Do they wear fast than the F1's? Any other tire recommendations I should consider?

Any input would help me with my up coming purchase.

I have put around 5,000 miles on my Wide Ovals. Some people think they look unusual because part of the tire sticks out just beyond the rim. I was skeptical until I had them mounted and was pleasantly surprised with the look.

As far as grip of the WO's vs the GY's I don't know since I replaced the GY's right after I bought the car.

I have done 3 autox's on the WO's and the tread still looks great.

I will try and find some pics.

Good Luck!

They look narrower to the eye but for the money people seem to like them, I have the GY SC's on both sets of my wheels but I would possibly consider them as a replacement when the time comes

I replaced my Supercar tires about 8 months ago. I always liked walking up to my car from behind with the SC's because they just looked FAT. I don't get the same impression with the WO's. I think I have read somewhere on here that someone did a tread comparison and they were very close to the same. But, visually the WO's look narrower. I don't care for the rim protection that the WO's provide...but I can't lie, it has saved me once at the Wells Fargo ATM drive-thru!
I have 1 HPDE and 1 autocross day on my WO's and they're holding up great.
You will notice that the WO's squeel under "excessive acceleration", the SC's did not. Quiet is good in that regard.
WO's outperform the SC's 10 fold in wet traction. I couldn't get above 55mph with the SC's and the WO's are fine at any speed with much much more confidence.
I can't say that these pictures will help any, but I wanted to post them anyway.

Looks like you got every penny out of your GY's. I see in your pic's the WO. Are using 275's verses 295's? I want nothing small than the stock size of 295's. I founds both tires brands and also looked at the Mich PS2. A little more but quieter tire for long rides. I really like the performance of the SC's. But if the WO's will work and give me that bad *** look from the rear, then that's the way I'll go. Thanks for your responce.
