Does anyone know if I can just change out the front
stock tweeter in the Bose setup? I do not want to
change the whole system, but I think some better
tweeters in the stock system will give me better sound
than the Bose. I think they are 3.5 inches and could
just be swapped out. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
They sound better than stock and are an improvement, however far from a premium system. They do not need an amp. Depends on what you realy want and how much you want to spend. For me it's good enough otherwise I would probably do like other people and change the entire system. You have nothing to lose by changing out the speakers first and see if it's good enough for you. There are some real experts on this subject in the audio section of the forum so do some research in there. Good luck.
Thanks racecar. Added 12 inch sub to rear compartment and changed out speakers behind the seats. The bass is awesome!!! but I'm not satisfied with the high end tweets. Just ordered a pair of 3.5 inch
infinity kappas. Will install them and see how it
sounds. I guess if I'm not satisfied, I'll start
thinking about a complete system. I really thought
the Bose system was better than what it is. It's
not nearly what it's hyped up to be. If you've ever
been in the presence of a decent sound system, you
know right away the Bose system is junk. Can't believe
they put Bose in these high end cars....venting..
