I just recently picked up my 97 vette from the shop where they changed my starter and when I picked it up I noticed that the A/C was not blowing cold air. I picked up a can of r-134a thinking it was just low and then noticed that the passenger side blows cold air and the driver side blows warm air. I did a search on this issue and I tried disconnecting the battery for 60 seconds and no change. Could it be the HVAC control module? If it is how much will it cost and would it be an easy fix for me to do? Thanks.
I don't know how to check for codes on the DIC. Do I need to buy the code reading tool to check for codes?
Hold down options on the right side and hit fuel 4 times fast to get into diagnostic mode. It will cycle threw all the different categories and tell you home many codes it’s throwing for each one. You should have a HVAC code or 2 being thrown. What happened is the blend actuator in the dash for the dual zone ac has gone out. So it’s not blending the air correctly. My buddy’s 00’ FRC did the same thing.

If the system reset did not fix it, then the actuator motor that controls the driver's side air-mix door is stuck. If it doesn't reset, then it probably needs to be replaced.
If you have the auto climate A/C controls. With your car runnning and a/c on,pull out fuses 18 and 27 on the passenger side fuse panel.Wait about 1 minute then place them back in the panel. This will recalibrate the damper motors if thats the problem.
My '97 did the same thing when they disconnected the battery to install my stereo.I did this and fixed the problem...
I did find 2 HVAC codes B0361-H & B0441-H. Both codes had the (H) at the end meaning history code but no current codes. I do have the 1997 manuals so I was able to se that the codes were for the actuator. I wanted to try disconnecting the battery one more time before I sent to the dealer but this time for 30-40 minutes. It worked!!! The A/C blows cold on both sides. Thanks guys for all of your help.

funny but this always come up as the cure. sure it could be a 100 little things but the one you most commonly overlook is the one.
Yeah, but when only one side of the dash vents blow cold, that does NOT point to a refrigerant issue. The plumbing in the dual zone AC is split into two sides so if only one side is cold, the issue is the air mix door on the warm side. Just an analytical approach.
