Default Removing Frost King?

I've decided to try the eDead v1se as I will be updating my stereo. I have frost king in the rear now. I havent tried to pull it out, but has anyone here done it? Is this gonna be a challenge? Anything I should know?

Oh, and anyone know how to pull off the panels around the rear speakers and the roof? I'm afraid to pull to hard.

Thanks!

I havent done that yet and will add it to the list! Thanks for the advice.

I'm trying a material cloaser to dynamat. I know everyone says frost king is the best, but i swaer i got better results in my camaro with dynamat. I guess I'll have to learn the hard way myself.

Did the Frost King and the wells. Good reduction. Kinda wonder how wet that batt insulation gets after a good shower but...
Why replace the FrostKing? It's pretty thin. Just go over it?

...hmmmm ...you do have a lot of spare room for doubling insulation...

I doubled some areas in the front and back with Frost King and still had room especially in the back

What do you use for the rear wheel well insulation?

Hey Stuz, I got my wheel wells done and drove 510 miles RT to BG2006 on Saturday. Big difference. Your pix were great. I filled every nook and cranny I could find with FK and batt insulation. I'm thinking about doing the inside back as well. It can't hurt, but I won't get the same %age of noise reuction again.

Excellent!

...the only problem I see with trying to do the back is that it is exposed to the elements more than the wheelwells...

The material you use may not stay in place...

No, Frost King is not the best - it's just the cheapest. I did the complete Frost King/Reflectix mod (with Dynamat Extreme in the doors) and I'm now doing something "a little different" with eDead. But this will be for my stereo - not for road noise.

For what it costs, Frost King works great.

I was thinking of going with B-Quiet, I know the stuff will do a good job of deadening sound but, my main concern is the heat AND added weight. With what I have read about the results with Frost King and Reflectix, I think I'll go that route...seems like a good compromise.

I did the Frost King mod with 3 small packs of Dynomat Extreme. I put a small patch of Dynomat on each flat surface I could. Some were large (6 inch x 6 inch) some smaller. I would test each section before and after by knocking on them and the dynomat areas would have a thud after I was done. Then I covered with Frost king and double many areas that that I could and I am very pleased with the results. I also put Frost King and Fiberglass insulation under the fender liners and also noticed a difference. Over all I am very please and the total cost was reasonable and the minimal added weight was minimal.

I been thinking of removing the door panels and the front fender liners but I don’t think they will make as big a difference like the rear section and cabin did. Has anyone done these areas yet and are you pleased with the results?

I used Hushmat in the door panels and in the cockpit and r-19 insulation with reflectix in the rear wheel wells and tunnel (thank you E.T. where ever you are), along with getting rid of the run flats. I can now carry on a conversation or talk on the cell without yelling.
