What is a Non Billet Exhaust Plate? And how is it different from a Billet Exhaust Plate? They both have the same mounting instructions. Would it be advantageous to purchase extra double sided tape? There are only two narrow strips that came with the plate.

Some exhaust plates are not made from aluminum billet - they are the less expensive versions. Billet exhaust plates can run several hundred dollars. I have one of the cheaper ones on my car and only used the two strips of tape. Been on there for five years and shows no sign of coming off anytime soon.
I too have the cheaper stainless version been on close to five years also. unless you get down on your hands and knees you can't tell the difference.....
I have a chrome plate...
..but any of them stay put with 3m double sided tape...
It is certain to stay put if you will clean the surface really well to remove grease and oily residues...
...and then use some Ethyl alcohol to clean the surface
Thanks for the replies. Did just what you all said to do. It looks great, I even got it on the car pretty straight and even. Now if only I can save enough for a new exhaust system to accentuate the plate.
