Default Tire sensors

Are tires sensors specific per tire? I just got new wheels on my Vette and now I know for a fact with my hand held tire pressure gauge that my Front R and Rear R tires read the opposite. Now all that im thinking is that they installed the right side on the wrong tires. Am I right, are these sensor specifically made for a certain tire

Install the J41760 Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) System Programming Tool (large magnet will do) over the left front valve stem

Question: What is meant by a "large magnet"?? How large are we talking? Maybe the size of a 4x6 heavy speaker magnet??

I was able to get by with using a crappy factory 6x9 speaker with a small magnet.

That should work. Many have picked up a cheap speaker magnet at Radio Shack.
