I have a 99 coupe and the oil pressure is pegged out.. when the car is off... also one of the headlights will not open.... well I ordered a headlight and as an afterthought, I ordered the oil pressure sensor as well..... question,,, where is this located and what is the best way to access it?
A forum member (pyro1) and I swapped mine out a few months ago. I have no mechanical ability whatsoever and we managed to get it done... From what I heard here on the forum it was like a $400 or $500 dollar job for a $30.00 part...
Easy fix though... Great instructions here on the forum...
Shouldn't take you more than an hour. When you are moving the intake forward MAKE SURE you don't drag it forward. Pick it up. There is a lot of sand and crap under it that you do not want to drag into the heads.
thanks but who or what is a violator... I know someone out there knows ho to so this..... please help......
It sounds like you want someone to do this for you. If you want to do it yourself, since you are a first timer it may take you an hour. Once you do it once if really is a cake walk. Yes, there are a lot of people on this board that know how to do it. It is a very easy job and I'm not sure someone has done a step by step for it but if you want pictures, go to the tech page on my webpage and look through the engine removal procedure.
did it today and was harder than I thought.. took me nearly four hours total but I have an extra hose and switch at back and cleaned blackwing and some other stuff... toughest thing was fishing out tools and bolts I dropped - lol
