long output shaft
Do you have to seperate the rear from the tranny to change the long output shaft? I have found a couple of links for the the short shaft but nothing on changing the long one.

Removel of the long output shaft does not require special tools. There are a couple of DIY output shaft installation tutorials on this board somewhere that appear to be decently written, that many have used as a guide. You might try a search of a few months back to find them. The factory service manual also shows how to do this.

Well I tried but corvette garage sent me a brace for an auto.
