Washer fluid on windshield under hard acceleration?
If I use my washer fluid at all for awhile after under hard acceleration I get little droplets of fluid on my windshield by each wiper blade. I would not really care but its not just a drop or two but many to the point where I sometimes have to turn on my wipers to clear the fluid.
I thought it was a little weird... Anyone else have this?
Tears from heaven - you are seeing a common thing here so don't panic. WHat a lot of folks do is to ensure their washer tank is never filled, they keep it at 3/4 full of below to minimize this. There are others that have installed check valves in the lines to prevent it. I believe there was a service bulletin put out for this problem with pn's and instructions for fixing it too.
I found if your washer tank is less than full you will not have this effect. I was told it is the result of air pressure created in the engine compartment upon hard acceleration that causes a small amount of fluid in a full washer tank to be sucked out of the vented cap and blown up onto the windsheild drivers side. How many other cars can claim they have the power to do this?

Did I just hear you say that our engine compartments suck ?
Ditto, i get it on ine too. ust fill it half way that wil take care of it. That is until you get the oil changed out again and the grease monkeys fill it up to the top!
I was into Fieros before I upgraded to the C5. One Fiero I had did the same thing.....the washer fluid coming out of the squirters all the time. I found this to completely resolve the problem. It may also apply to the C5 Corvette.
The Fiero washer fluid "tank cap" has a vent hole along with a full covering round rubber seal with a slit in it. The ventilation is to allow expanding air in the washer tank to depressurize. When the car is cold, the air in the tank has a negative pressure, so air then is allowed inside. As the engine heats up the compartment, the washer fluid tank air expands. If the vent hole in the cap is blocked, pressure equalization occurs by fluid coming out the squirters.
In the case of the Fiero, I modified the slit in the seal to a football shaped hole. The slit had dried fluid sealing it tight. I also cleaned the vent hole in the cap itself. Between the two, the problem never reoccured.
Check your washer cap. Be sure the vent hole is clear. Also, if there is a rubber seal (full covering seal with slit, not a large rubber washer) be sure it's slit is clean. Or make the slit a little more like a hole.

Happens on mine when I have too much fluid in the washer tank. I try to keep mine about 3/4ths full and it seems to keep this from happening. A while back some members were talking about installing a check valve made by Ford to keep this from occurring.
I removed my windshield wipers and washer fluid lines. I plugged the plastic nozzles with very small rubber caps. Now I don't have to worry about my wipers or the washer fluid lines leaking. And no, I've never driven my car in the rain.
