I could do this on all of my other cars in my sleep...but Im still a bit gun-shy about taking my vette apart without getting some guidance first...
I am going to be installing a new handsfree kit shortly and want to mount the mic on or near the rearview mirror. Im assuming the best way to get the wiring there is to snake it inside the headliner and down inside the a-pillar. How is the best way to get the a-pillar trim off?
To answer your question - the cover on the A pillar just snaps on and off. Grab it with both hands and gently pull on it.
A quick related question, the trim piece st the top of the windshield that has the sun visor clips on it, has anyone taken that off, and is it an easy pop-off with a pull or screw removal?

I've had to replace one of my A pillar trim covers. These are held on by 3 or 4 metal clips. You have to have the door open. Start at the top. Get your fingers under the edges and give it a tug. Gently at first, then slight increases until the first clip snaps loose. Then work your way down to the bottom. The bottom portion has a slot that fits around a peg. Reverse the process to put it back on. Start at the bottom and pop the clips back into the A pillar.
