The MPH light on my speedometer dims and then brightens again.
The other lights do not do this. Just the MPH light.
Anyone else have this happen?
2003 MSG A4 Vert
Mine does the same thing.........I was thinking it was something to do with the ambient lighting being picked up by the sensor, but I'd like some confirmation as to what's going on.
The apparent change in speedometer brightness is corelated to the speed at which you are driving. There is a receptor in the brain that releases seratonin as the pulse, respiration and blood pressure increase. The release of seratonin causes the pupils to dilate and let in more light.
When you drive slowly you get bored, your pupils constrict and let in less light.

Yep, I've noticed mine does it too. Seems to be light sensitive. Mostly notice it in the morning going to work as I go through longer shady areas then pop out into sun.
It is light sensitive. If you watch it long enough you'll notice that it brightens and dims in connection with the HUD. Of course if you watch it that long you'll probably hit something.
