Couldn't get the cartridge to eject. I took the case out of the trunk and removed the 4 case screws. I noticed that one of the trays was not fully retracted. Put the tray in place and reassembled the player. All looked good -- when power reapplied the player scanned through the trays. I loaded one CD in with the label correctly down and now I get a Err message in the radio window. Tried several times but the same. Another guy was having the same problem in the audio forum. Any suggestions?
By the way -- the audio forum has been little help.
Hmm. Never encountered that. What does the manual say with regards to the Bose error messages? Does the message come on with certain discs or all of them?
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it sounds as your player is toast. I have had mine replaced 4 times on my 2004. I had a lemon from the factory and the next 3 were "refurbished" units replaced under warranty. I finally got a brand new unit when I mentioned that the car would qualify as a lemon if it were not fixed correctly.
You were able to remove the cartrige which is a good thing. Find someone with small fingers and see if you still have a cd stuck in the changer. Do this even if you think this is impossible. Trust me on this one. If so, open it up and remove it. Hopefully this will help.
