The underhood lamp and interior lights in the rear view mirror are not working om my 02 Vert. It was recently suggested on this forum that the problem is a blown #2 fuse. I assume this is located in the passenger floorborad and not under the hood.
My owners manual lists the #2 interior fuse as going to the "Monitored (Inadvertent) Load Control" That doesn't sound like the fuse that would be for the underhood light.

Possible. There's a timer that shuts off any lights accidently left on after a certain time. I don't have my manual with me now but maybe someone else can chime in here.
I just replaced the relay that controls those lights. I believe your owners manual list it as #42 and it is located in the passenger footwell box. This was causing my battery to drain and took me awhile to isolate because my interior lights were going off like they were supposed to (I thought). Pep Boys had a Borg Warner (OEM was Omron) for about $16.
My map lights also went out. Found blown fuse #21. Turns out the mirror is shorting out and I have to replace it. They dont sell any parts as it is a sealed unit.I temporarly disconnected the wire from the back of the mirror.
By the way . A new mirror, if its like mine is about 370.00.
Good luck
Dan.
