other than changing the oil and cleaning the intake, what else is there to "maintain" on this car? lol
i'm at 25k miles now, changed my tranny fluid and diff. fluids (amsoil) just for the hell of it, brake pads need changing this weekend, and i change out my clutch fluid reservoir periodically.....
am i missing anything? do i have to look out for anything soon? plugs? fule filters etc?
with my mustang i had to "keep" up with a lot of warranty work or upgrades.....
Though they are good for something like 100k miles, I feel the plugs loose performance way before that. I change mine about every 4 races. The fuel filter is also another fairly easy job that isn't required but may help. Unfortunately, in the middle of the 03 model year (I can't remember what year your car is), they moved the fuel filter from under the driver's side frame rail to inside the tank. I change my fuel filter annually, but race fuel is notoriously dirty.
Another simple periodic maintenance item would be to run something like the AMSOIL P.I. Quick Shot about once a month to help keep the injectors clean.
